Should Birmingham City move to a new stadium? Your views!

It's inevitable now that the new regime is in place at St Andrew's that there will be speculation about the future of the stadium and whether the club's new owners will be looking to move to new premises.

There has been plenty of opinions voiced on our website, here's a selection:

RobBlues: Heard the new owners would like a new ground. But St Andrews is our ground, and finished off it would be a great ground. lets complete it and fill it, then it rivals any ground in the country for an intimidating atmosphere.many blues fans have memories, some good, some bad. and moving does not solve many problems. look at southampton, derby

Tilton 1875: On the new stadium reading between the lines you sense the new owners would first like to explore the possibility of the government paying for this under the 2018 bid, as the feasibility study was quite clear that they wanted to balance the use of stadiums geographically. At present all the top ones are London or Manchester. I believe they are to commission 1 or 2 more super stadiums in either Midlands, Avon, East Anglia, Yorkshire, North east etc.

Vile Park whether they like it or not is no longer FIFA Regulated international stadium and with the Olympic snub this has been confirmed.

The casino venture is something that the government have softened too because they are just interested in the loot they could make although it will probably be another 10 years so thats hard to call.

Due to the CONCACAF blow England needs to get its bid more outlined in the next year or so to avoid embarrassment. Therefore a stadium decision will probably be made by about a year from now, as you can see its worth the wait even more so because if we build the stadium ourselves it may need a sponsor and only be built for purpose (ON THE CHEAP).

When the KOP and TILTON was built our board told us the roof was made in such a way that it could be taken off and a second tier added, perhaps if the club do press ahead with knocking down them two closest houses and completing the horse shoe they could actually build the horse shoe with two tiers and have around 44,000.

Its an option.
