Carson Yeung shows off his soccer skills to Blues players on his first visit to the training ground since his £81.5 million takeover.

He was invited to take a penalty at England call-up Joe Hart and duly stuck the ball past the goalkeeper.

Club president Yeung visited the Wast Hills site in West Heath with chairman Vico Hui,vice-chairman football Sammy Yu and their personal assistants.

He met manager Alex McLeish and his coaching staff and toured the facilities.

When Yeung popped out of the offices onto the pitches, he was received with a warm round of applause by the Blues squad, who stood in a circle to welcome him.

Senior members of the squad said a few words and wished him every success before the Hong Kong tycoon was tempted to try his luck with a penalty.

The motto of the new regime - ‘we are family’ - struck a chord as Yeung and his entourage remained to watch training and mingled with players and staff at lunch in the canteen before McLeish’s men departed for the game at Arsenal by coach.
