CARSON Yeung has transferred £2 million of his own money into Blues’ accounts to help pay off some outstanding debts.
The president acted last night to tide Blues over due to a spiralling list of liabilities that have annoyed the new board and sparked a war of words with the previous owners.
“Carson has diverted £2 million to our accounts, it’s a top-up to help with these unexpected problems we have been facing,” said Peter Pannu, vice-chairman executive and finance.
Pannu said that this was further evidence of Yeung’s commitment to the club.
David Sullivan blasted Yeung again in a Sunday newspaper after it emerged that Blues could have had to shell out around £11 million by the New Year on transfer and agents fees, bonuses, taxes and other bills.
The new regime said they were taken by surprise by the size of the tab they have had to pick up since completion of the £81.5 million takeover.
