Wolves v Birmingham City: The fans give their verdict

OBJECT ID=22690799, method=default

It's a huge game for Wolves and Birmingham at the weekend in the Midland's derby at Molineux.

Wolvesneed a win to try and claw free from their position as relegationfodder and Blues need to continue to pick up points to ensure theydon't end up where Wolves are.

Yesterday we asked for your thoughts, here's what you had to say:

TrueBlue09: I think it will be a draw but that is a good result for us. Win the homegames and draw away. A win would be a fantastic result and with ourform going into this game, it could be a possibility.

Wolfie: This should be where Wolves get back on track. Anything other than a win and the season is over.

LongLongRoad: Blues will win quite simply because we are playing the better footballand are on a great run of form at the moment. The spirit in the team isfantastic and Wolves don't have the class to get past our solid backfour.

TiredNWeary: Wolves seem to have a porous back four, Mancienne is a nightmare, how can he be so highly thought of ??  Jerome has terrorised them before and they are gonna dread Chucho's pace.
Think 1-1 is a likely outcome but if we can score first and play our posession game then it might be much better for us.

OptimisticBluenose: Wolves will be up and at us from 1st minute - it'll be tough for awhile - but as long as our players remember that a derby normallycreates a level playing field - we've got to be confident that we willcreate more than enough chances to get a decent result here - I predict1-2 to the Blues!

1989Blue: That big long Molineux pitch won't do Craddock and Berra any favoursagainst the pace of Jerome and Chucho. If Blues can weather theinevitable early storm and get the Wolves fans on their teams back thenwe can take control.

I think we will press them high up the pitch earlyon and try and use their nerves to our advantage, pressurising themhigh up the pitch will force them into the long ball which will payright into our hands. If Blues get the first goal, the Wolves fans willurge their team forward leaving space for Fads, Jerome, Chucho andMcSheffrey/Fahey off the bench to exploit. 2-1 Blues, Chuco and aset-piece goal from Dann or Johnson, a late goal from Wolves gives usthe usual nervy ending.

MarkyB: Form books can go out of the window when teams battling for a place in next years premiership play each other.

Ithink Blues will play hard and Wolves will play well (as MM keepssaying about them), but I think Blues will Nick it 2-1 with Wolvestaking an early lead and Blues coming back at them hard, then shuttingup shop once they get the goals. Wolves need to establish how to grindout results, and at the moment especially against Chelsea they are FULLof mistakes waiting to happen due to their lack of experience. Itsmistakes/ and their naiveness that will cost them ... reminds me of aseason when we was full of mistakes and we got relegated too! :-)

GarveBrum: Wolves are a better team then their last two results suggest, they havepace and move the ball well at times, from what I have seen so far.Blues fan, through and through but just be careful boys...0-4. KRO

BlueSky: We are on an upward curve with a team spirit second to none.If we canmaintain the work rate and tempo of recent games i cant see us gettingbeat.
I predict 0-1 or 1-2 and maintain our good run against the"Yam Yam,s" which has seen us unbeaten against them in the last eightleague meetings..."No Noise from the Yam Yam boys"

Jazzy786: All I can say is keep up the good work boys. We should on paper winthis easy but more likely it'll be a tough encounter and probably a draw.

Colin Tattum will be online at 12.30pm tomorrow to chat about the game - www.birminghammail.net/live
