Scott Dann urges Blues to keep run of good results going

SCOTT Dann said Blues had to keep the faith and extend their fine sequence of results.
Success in the Wolves derby at Molineux made it three wins and two draws from the last five outings.
That represents Blues’ best unbeaten Premier League spell since the start of 2004-05 – but then they drew five in a row.
“We have got to believe in ourselves and that we can continue this run,” said Dann.
“If we carry on what we have been doing and have been five unbeaten, then we’ve got to keep it going for six, seven, eight games and keep the points coming.”
Dann, who turned in another fine display yesterday, said he was amazed he didn’t earn Blues a penalty in the 35th minute when Matt Jarvis tackled him back after he took the ball from his toes.
“As soon as it happened I was thinking that, surely some of the ones that got given the day before, mine was a definite pen,’’ said Dann. “I saw it again after the match on television replays and it was.
“The referee seemed to think that he made an attempt to get the ball, but he didn’t get the ball.
“I spoke to him again just as we came out for the second half and I said ‘it was definitely a pen ref’ and he said ‘no, never’.
‘‘Sometimes you get them, sometimes you don’t but I think everyone knows it should have been given.”
It could have made Blues’ afternoon a whole lot easier.
‘‘We got the great start through Lee Bowyer’s goal and we were going for them. We had plenty of chances,’’ said Dann.
“Had we got another one, it would have given us an extra cushion. You can go on and carry on what you’re doing without knowing that one goal brings them level.”
