BLUES players have been ordered to look to their inner selves if the team’s good run of form is going to continue.

Blues are at Wigan Athletic tomorrow and Alex McLeish has called for his men to carry on doing what they have – individually.

“While we can never predict the outcome in professional sport, the one thing that you demand from them is their level of performance and their commitment,” he said.

“If you get those two ingredients, and on a day you lose, then there’s not a lot you can kill them about.

“We might make a mistake in the game, the referee might give a penalty that wasn’t a penalty, or we might not get a penalty that was a penalty, for example the Wolves game.

“Some circumstances you can’t prevent but if they can continue to give me that level of commitment and the individual performance level, then we’ve got more chance than not of keeping this run going.

“Last year there was a spell when we spoke openly with the players and said ‘what do you feel, we’ve hit a wee slump, what’s the problem’?
