Stud Marks: Why James McFadden has reason to celebrate Lee Bowyer's run of form
JAMES McFadden is especially delighted at Lee Bowyer’s rich vein of goalscoring form – he’s in his fantasy football ‘dream team’.
The Blues star picked Bowyer and Joe Hart as mainstays of his side, showing a shrewd judge of a player. Bowyer has scored six times this season and Hart has kept six clean sheets.
McFadden, speaking after Bowyer netted the winner against West Ham, said: “I’ve had him in my dream team and that is three (winning) goals and an assist so I am buzzing!
“Bows always gets into good positions and has been from the start of the season. I thought I would put him in and see how he goes, but he is on red-hot form. I’ve got Joe Hart in with a few clean sheets as well, so I am doing alright.”
Modesty meant that McFadden didn’t select himself, however.
