Sebastian Larsson conspiracy rubbish, says Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish

ALEX McLeish has poured scorn on the Sebastian Larsson conspiracy theory.

Because Larsson is at deadlock with the club over a new contract, he has come out of the Blues team.

At least that’s the chatter – and it couldn’t be further from reality, said Eck.

“It’s not right,” he insisted. “It’s wrong to think it’s anything to do with the contract.

‘‘I judge the players in football terms.

“It’s not that I think Craig Gardner is better than Seb, or Seb is better than Craig.

“Seb has had a fantastic season for us. When we ended that great run, one or two players looked as if they needed freshening up.

“I was thinking about rotation, but changed my mind on it and decided to stick with the players who were on form.
