Lee Bowyer warns Birmingham City: it doesn't get any easier

LEE Bowyer reckons the hard part is yet to come for Birmingham City.
Next season is set to be a whole lot tougher than this campaign.
Blues, by generally punching above their weight, have raised expectations – and earned the respect of their rivals.
“If you look in the past, I remember when I went to West Ham, just before I came here, they had a great season, their first season up,” said Bowyer.
“I thought I was going to a hard-working team who were going to suit my game. Second season was the complete opposite.
“It was like they thought ‘we’re okay now, look what we did last year’. It’s not – it’s harder.
“Reading a few years ago did the same thing. They finished about eighth, I think, they could have made Europe. but I think they took their foot off the pedal at the end, because I don’t think they wanted to play in Europe! Then they went down.
