Birmingham City: Garry O'Connor set to meet Alex McLeish, while Robin Shroot looks bound for Scotland

GARRY O’Connor will meet Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish within the next ten days to thrash out a new deal at St Andrew’s.
Rather than take up the two-year option they hold on the Scotland striker’s current deal, Blues have decided to renegotiate fresh terms in light of the 27-year-old’s injury problems.
O’Connor is the last of a group of players to commit their future to Blues and it looked as though the ex-Lokomotiv Moscow man was set to leave on a free transfer, with several clubs circling.
However, sources close to O’Connor have indicated he’s eager to stay at Blues and will meet Big Eck shortly to seal a new deal.
Meanwhile, McLeish has revealed that forgotten man Robin Shroot is likely to be sent on loan to a club in Scotland next season.
