Birmingham City: Alex McLeish contract down to the 'nitty gritty'

ALEX McLeish has declared that it’s ‘nitty gritty’ time regarding his new contract.
The Blues boss has held meetings with his lawyer over the past two days after returning from the pre-season tour of Hong Kong and China.
It was to go over the club’s last offer, and draw up a response.
Peter Pannu, who is handling the negotiations for Carson Yeung, is not due back in England until Tuesday.
That’s when McLeish will try to end the saga for once and for all.
McLeish, who had been attracting Fulham’s interest and could have been a Craven Cottage contender had they not secured Mark Hughes, said: “It’s nitty gritty time.
“I have been with my lawyer the last couple of days and discussed with him what was offered. We were a wee bit apart on what the club came to us with, but it was pretty close.
“When Peter’s back in the country, we will go to him with what we think and then it’s down to him and Carson Yeung.”
