Birmingham City: Garry O'Connor urges Blues not to get carried away

GARRY O’Connor has warned Blues not to get ideas above their station.
The revitalised striker said Blues should concentrate on taking ‘footsteps’ in the Premier League – not dreaming of massive strides.
“We had a really successful season last season,” he said. “It’s going to be a hard one to follow.
“I think our main aim has to make sure that we stay in the Premier League again, and finish as high as possible.
“Mid-table, definitely, that’s realistic for us. I’m sure we’re capable of that with the players we’ve got.
“I don’t think there should be too much pressure and expectation on us really, talking about Europe and things like that.
“We have got to do things gradually. We’ve got to take footsteps in the Premier League.
“We exceeded what everyone thought we would do last season, and the thing now is to make sure it’s not a one-off.
“The gaffer has spoken about the second season syndrome and I think we’re all aware of that and no-one wants it to happen.
