Kevin Phillips dreaming of Wembley with Birmingham City

KEVIN Phillips today insisted that Blues were taking the Carling Cup seriously.
And the veteran striker, who saved Blues bacon in the fourth round defeat of Brentford, said it would mean everything to him to get to Wembley - and have a pot at a pot.
"It would be fantastic. It is every players’ dream. I’ve got to the semis of the FA Cup with West Brom which we lost to Portsmouth in 2008. We were unlucky.
"We all want silverware. I’ve had a fantastic career but I’d love to end my career with a bit of silverware.
"Any player naturally would. We’ve got a big opportunity. Hopefully the quarter-final draw will be kind to us and if we can get another home game and win that, then you are in a two legged semi-final and anything can happen.
"We won’t get carried away, the Premier League is our main priority, but it’s a nice little sidetrack.
"They are all going to tough matches from here on in but we’ve definitely got a squad capable of going all the way. It’s just whether we perform on the day.
