Birmingham City defender Roger Johnson hopes to record first win over Aston Villa

ROGER Johnson is hoping to record his first derby win in a Blues shirt after coming up short in his attempts so far.
The centre-half feels hard done by not to have ended up on the winning side in his three appearances gainst Blues’ bitter rivals.
Last season the 27-year-old played in both league games as Blues were beaten 1-0 home and away.
He also lined up in the second city derby as the two teams played out a dour 0-0 draw at Villa Park in October.
But Johnson believes a win is just around the corner.
And the England hopeful is determined to see it come tonight as Blues look to progress to the semi-finals of the Carling Cup.
“It’s a great game to be involved in, it’s the quarter-final of the cup and everyone is looking forward to it,” he said.
“It should be a great tie and we all can’t wait to get out there.
“In my time here I’ve been a bit unlucky against Villa.
“Fortunately we stopped the rot of losing games by picking up a point at Villa Park.
“We will be looking to go one better and get a win from this one.”
The former Cardiff defender has again been in fine form this season alongside his central defensive partner Scott Dann.
Both have been tipped to feature for England but have yet to hear from coach Fabio Capello.
Johnson admits he would love to represent his country but says his main focus is to do well for Blues both in the league and in the cup.
