Birmingham City's Scott Dann says they need more points - and sings Lee Bowyer's praises

Birmingham City's position and points tally is not good enough, Scott Dann has admitted.

And he said Blues had to use the Manchester United result as a springboard for better things.

Blues got out of the relegation zone with a draw, courtesy of goal difference, and have 19 points.

“Definitely, we’re hoping the other night can kickstart us,” said Dann.

“We are nearly halfway through the season and we know we’ve got to start getting a lot more points.

“Yes, we’re disappointed with how many we’ve got.

“In quite a few games, we haven’t played as well as we would like but there have also been times when we have been a bit unfortunate and could have had quite a few more points.

“At the end of the day, you can say that all we want. We have the points we have and we’ve just got to try and move up the table.
