CAMERON Jerome has admitted that Blues like a good old moan – but it should serve them well in the Carling Cup final.
Alex McLeish’s side is peppered with players not shy to express themselves, and let others know if they are slacking off.
And Jerome insists getting an earful at Wembley on Sunday against Arsenal would mean normal service and that no one was letting the occasion get to them.
The powerful striker revealed that Stephen Carr, Barry Ferguson and Lee Bowyer are always in their team mates’ ears on the field, while Roger Johnson and Sebastian Larsson are hardly silent types.
“It is always good to have experienced heads in the team, always good to have a blend, and I think we’ve got the right blend,” said Jerome.
“They only moan because they expect high standards and the lads are left in no doubt.
“Stephen is a well known moaner, and Barry, but it’s only because they’ve played at the highest level throughout their career.
“They are passionate about winning and they are winners.
“And you can have a moan back. You
just get on with it in a game. Emotions are high, everyone has a moan, but nothing is said after. It is the passion of wanting to win games and be successful.
“It is part and parcel, a good sign of a good footballer in my eyes, to be honest.
“We’ve got a few players that moan. I moan if someone doesn’t give me the ball, but some express it more than others.”
