SEBASTIAN Larsson admitted he was by no means certain to leave Blues this summer.

The Swedish star said the Carling Cup final appearance and the club’s general progress meant he had not drawn a line under his St Andrew’s career.

“That is correct,” he told the Birmingham Mail. “What happened in January is in the past. When the window shut, that was the end of it.

“I have always maintained I am happy here. I haven’t thought about anything else since.

“I have just tried to focus on football and I will look forward to this game as much as anyone else.”

Last month Blues agreed a fee with Newcastle United for Larsson and Blackburn Rovers also came in.

But no terms were agreed by the time the club did a U-turn.

Larsson has wanted to see increased ambition at Blues, going back to when he signed permanently from Arsenal.
