STUART Parnaby has declared that he is already ‘ready’ for the Blues call.

He was drafted in at left-back for his first Premier League start of the season.

And Parnaby, who has been a frustrated understudy to Stephen Carr for the majority of the campaign, rarely put a foot wrong.

He commented: “The gaffer spoke to me after training on Friday and said he needed my experience.

“I am comfortable playing. I am always ready for it.

“I know it’s always going to be hard for me with Stevie doing as well as he has.

“But if you have got that head strength to be ready, then I don’t see why just because I haven’t played I shouldn’t be at the top of my game.
