Craig Gardner will be handed the penalty-taking duties after his spat with Sebastian Larsson at Chelsea.
The pair squabbled over who should take Blues 77th minute kick.
Larsson put the ball on the spot and refused to let Gardner line up the shot.
Gardner looked over to the dug outs pleadingly, but Alex McLeish was unaware of the dispute.
Larsson hammered the penalty in to make it 3-1 - and was congratulated by Gardner.
"We always joke about it in training, that we're both the penalty takers, and I don't think any of us have missed this season," said Larsson.
"Obviously both of us wanted to take it, I took this one and said 'Gards, you will have the next one', so next time I will step away."
Gardner took Blues last, and only other Premier League penalty, in February against Manchester City. He scored and Larsson was an unused substitute that evening.
