CAMERON Jerome has predicted that Blues are on the verge of ‘putting to bed’ doubt over their Premier League status – at last.
Blues go to Newcastle United on Saturday and Jerome said he was convinced they could get the win they need to confirm their participation among the elite next season.
“At the weekend it was important that we maintained a gap on the others and our goal difference is slightly better, so that counts,” said the striker.
“There’s three games left and all of the teams below us have to more or less perform a miracle.
“We have just got to get that one more win, that elusive win, and we should be all right to keep our Premier League status.
"The teams around us have games against each other so it’s not a case where everyone will be picking up points.
"They will be taking them off each other.
“And I am confident we can go up to Newcastle and get the result we need.
“They’re safe now and I’m sure they will put everything into the game and be professional, as they should be. But we can go there and get a result.
“I don’t think Newcastle are a brilliant team, I think they’re a steady team and they have surprised a few this season.
