ALEX McLeish was left fuming that Steven Taylor escaped censure for elbowing Cameron Jerome.
In the opening minutes of the Newcastle United-Blues match, Taylor flattened Jerome after they jumped to contest a high ball.
Chris Foy was yards away in a good position but nothing registered with the referee.
Taylor went on to score the goal that made it 2-0 to Newcastle, which ultimately was the decider. “The player who scored the second goal shouldn’t even have been on the pitch,” stated McLeish.
“He elbowed Cameron Jerome, he led with his elbow.
“It’s not the sort of challenge we want to see.
