CRAIG Gardner today pledged to take heed of the impassioned plea by Blues’ super fan Bob Teagle.
And the midfielder said he would make sure every single one of his team-mates would get the message ahead of Blues’ crunch match at Spurs on Sunday.
Teagle stole the show at the club’s Big City Event, the annual awards dinner.

After accepting the honour for supporter of the season, he sounded a rallying cry, speaking directly to the players, that brought a standing ovation from the 1,500-strong NIA audience.
Gardner, who is free from suspension to return at White Hart Lane, admitted: “He was brilliant. He was top class.
“When he came on, none of the players could take their eyes off him.
“I just wanted the Spurs game to be straight after that speech. I’m sure we can get a copy of the tape, the speech, and play it before the game because it was top class.
“It shows you what it means to the fans. I’m so glad I’m available for Sunday because I’ll be reminding every player what we need to do, what it takes to stay in this league.
“I think after the season we’ve had, we deserve to stay in the league.”
Teagle, an administrator from Perry Common, has only missed nine Blues matches since 1974.
After accepting the award, the 52-year-old took out a piece of paper from his pocket and asked if he could make a quick speech.
