Much talked about Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome seems to be a player who has split the Blues faithful down the middle over the years.
Often criticised by fans for not scoring enough former manager Alex McLeish was fiercely loyal to his forner striker.
There has been a lot of interest from Premier League teams in the striker with Fulham being the latest team to see a bid rejected.
There seems to be a growing tide of fans actually calling for the club to hang onto the striker as the best hope of getting promoted again.
Here's a selection of the more positive views we have received...
Wildybeast: I would keep Jerome one more season, see what he can do, or at least to the end of the august window to allow us time to get in new strikers
Bubba Rides Again: Hang in there Cam, moaners make the most noise but there's still plenty of us rooting for ya and given the right service believe in your ability to find the net on a regular basis.
Wouldn't swap him for any other championship striker and it seems a few premiership managers actually rate the guy aswell, woulod love him to stay, though admit he deserves to play for a club where he gets better support from his own club's fans.
Posiblue: I believe we should keep Jerome. I know he only scored 3 league goals last season, but football is played in the mind as well as physically.
He was correct in saying that he had poor service and when you get so few chances it builds up pressure so that you miss chances.
He has all the physical attributes needed for a top class striker...speed,size,powerful shot and at 25 just coming into his best years. Nobody can doubt his workrate too.
NorthwalesBlue: I think Jerome playing in an attacking side with either King or Rooney up front as his partner would score 15 plus goals at Championship level as well as pulling opponents to pieces with his running in behind defenders.
With Burke,Beausejour and Redmond providing much quicker and more concise balls in behind for him to run on to than he has had from the likes of McFadden and Larsson etc and also with Fahey and Gomis clearly capable of seeing a pass - then in my humble opinion he should STAY!
You also get the distinct impression that if it were up to him - he WOULD STAY!
Audie: We should keep Jerome but we won't.Interesting and candid comments from Ben Foster yesterday at his press conference, refreshing to hear a player expressing the concerns of the fans.Sadly I doubt if we will see him playing for Blues again-I wish him well.Outstanding 'keeper.
Do YOU agree?
