EVERYBODY’S talkin’ – but not about Blues.
And for manager Chris Hughton, that’s just fine.
Blues moved up to a season-high eighth place following the defeat of Burnley.
They are now just two points from the play-off zone and have two games in hand on their Championship rivals.
“I think we have done it in the best way, a quieter way,” said Hughton.
“Everybody is speaking about everybody else and I would rather it continues that way.
“I would just rather work with this group of lads and see where it takes us.”
Staying under the radar won’t always be possible, though, should Blues really kick on and string together another unbeaten and winning run like they did before the international break.
But for them to do that, it would require a little more finesse when it comes to finishing.
Blues could have caused less stress and anxiety for themselves and their supporters had they been more ruthless in their last two matches, and at Reading, in fact.
“What I do know is that we have got character in the side, that we can keep driving on, that we have got a good fitness level,” said Hughton. “We showed that against Burnley. But the area that we need to do better in is killing games off.
