CHRIS Hughton admitted that Blues were not at their best at Cardiff City – but didn’t merit a defeat.

Blues remain 14th in the Championship table after the 1-0 loss in Wales, with games in hand.

But they should have moved a little further up the ladder.

“We are disappointed,” said Hughton. “If we had played poorly, Boaz Myhill had had to make numerous saves, we would hold our hands up and say it hasn’t been a good day, we’ve not particularly played that well.

“I can’t say it was one our better performances, because it wasn’t.
