Birmingham City: Wade Elliott says Blues was the right move

Wade Elliott

WADE Elliott is loving it at Birmingham City – even though it’s a battle to hold down a regular place.

Elliott started and netted the decisive goal in Wednesday’s FA Cup third round replay at Wolves.

But in the four Championship matches prior to Molineux, he hadn’t made the 16.

Yet the attacking midfielder has no regrets about his transfer from Burnley in August.

“The manager didn’t need to sell it to me, instinctively, it felt like a good move to me,” he said.

“It’s a good club, the manager’s got a fantastic reputation, I was excited from the off.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far. Europe was great. We’ve got a great set of lads. Obviously the club has had a lot to contend with in the first-half of the year but we’ve come through that now. We’ve got ourselves into a decent position to have a really good second-half of the season.”
