BGB Southern Midland - Rushall back in promotion hunt

RELIEVED Rushall Olympic manager Paul Holleran reckons his side are right back in the promotion hunt after a 2-0 win at third-placed Sutton Coldfield Town this week in the BGB Southern Midland Division.

Recent recruit Craig Marshall scored either side of half-time to clinch the points.

As a result, Rushall are just four points off the play-off places but with the luxury of games in hand.

The Pics have paid a high price for their success in the cups this season because it left them with a huge fixture congestion.

They still have another 17 games to fit in by the end of Apri but Holleran can see light at the end of the tunnel.

He said: "It felt as though we were being penalised for our success in the cups. But since then, the players have shown a great deal of character to get us back into the promotion shake-up."
