Southern Midland - Evesham pegged back in title race

EVESHAM United's lead on top of the Midland Division was cut to six points after they were held to a 1-1 draw at Barton Rovers.

Danny Lennon headed Evesham in front during first-half stoppage time, but Barton levelled through Ryan Robb with seven minutes remaining.

Second-placed Leamington had to come from behind to beat Cinderford Town 3-1.

Jamie Addis gave Cinderford a shock lead but the Brakes assumed control with a couple of goals from Ben Mackey with Marcus Jackson adding a third.

Sutton Coldfield Town remain well entrenched in third spot following a 2-0 win at Willenhall Town where goals from Ed Booth and a Nathan Moran penalty proved decisive.

Six-shooting Stourbridge stormed back into the play-off places with a 6-0 win over Woodford United.

Lee Bullimore and Gavin Winsper both grabbed a brace of goals after Leon Broadhurst had set the ball rolling from the penalty spot.

Kyle Hadley then made it six of the best when running over half the length of the pitch to score.

Rushall Olympic remain right on Stourbridge's heels after a classy 3-1 win at Chesham United.

New-boy Neil Grainger netted after just three minutes and Junior Brown quickly bagged a second before Grainger went on to complete a double.

Chasetown remain level-pegging with the Pics following a 2-1 win at Leighton.

Central defender Andy Penny and striker Dean Perrow were the Scholars' marksmen.

Romulus recorded an easy 3-0 win over next-to-bottom Malvern Town, who were lucky to escape so lightly.

Roms missed a string of chances before Seb Hamilton struck twice with Lei Brown slotted in a third.
