Sandwell League - Stone stun Coseley

STONE Cross Crown and Anchor captured the Sandwell Premier League Cup after beating Coseley Royal 4-2 in a thrilling final.

Coseley survived an early scare when Stone Cross had a goal ruled out for offside.

Although shaken, Coseley recovered to take the lead when Scott Stevenson slotted home but Stone Cross levelled, given a helping hand by Ian Hanbury who headed past his own goalkeeper.

Stone Cross took the lead before half-time when Jamie Simms scored from the penalty spot.

Coseley came back to level on 54 minutes through Antonio Gamborne.

But within two minutes, Stone Cross were ahead again when Craig Webster converted from a free-kick.

Webster slotted home a fourth Stone Cross goal as well, netting with a simple tap-in after Coseley had failed to clear a free-kick.
