Blues Square North - Tamworth are rolled over

AFC Telford are facing an uphill struggle to reach the Blue Square North play-off final following a 2-0 beating by former Football League side Barrow last night.

The Bucks' defence cracked twice in the closing stages at Holker Street to leave themselves a huge task in turning this tie around when they clash in the second leg at the New Bucks Head on Sunday.

A crowd close on 3,000 saw substitute Paul Tait put Barrow ahead on 72 minutes before Nick Rogan increased the advantage 10 minutes later.

Bucks boss Rob Smith said: "We switched off for the final 20 minutes and got punished.

"Apart from Lee Vaughan, who fired the ball across the face of their goal, we hardly created a chance.''

Telford are anticipating a crowd close to 5,000 for the return leg and anyone requiring tickets should contact the club in advance.
