Blues bow out in style

BLUES signed off for the season with a 6-1 thumping of relegated Charlton at Redditch United.

Amy McCann opened the scoring after Blues had rattled the woodwork four times. Maz Gauntlett added a second, followed by a Becky Hall header, McCann again and finally Heather Scheuber - who had been involved in much of Blues' play - as they turned around 5-0 up.

Blues took their foot off the gas after the break, which allowed Charlton to score on the hour through Daniella Farmer, but Katy Ward restored the five-goal lead on 73 minutes from 25 yards.

Blues' final game at home against Chelsea next week will be at Stratford Town.
