Southern Premier Division - Stourbridge make a point

STOURBRIDGE celebrated their first point back in the Southern Premier Division after a 1-1 draw with Banbury United.

The Glassboys squandered a string of chances before handing Banbury the lead after defender Ross Collins handled in the box and Nicky Gordon netted the penalty.

Stourbridge struck back with a helping hand from Banbury full-back Stefan Morley, who turned a Les Hines free-kick into his own net.

Halesowen Town hit back in the second half to secure a 2-0 win at Rugby Town with goals from Tom Bryant and Jermaine Palmer.

Evesham enjoyed an excellent 2-0 win over Chippenham Town with Gary Hay and Danny Scheppel on target.

Romulus went goal crazy in the Southern Midland Division, putting seven goals past Malvern Town.

Seb Hamilton and Tyrone Fagan both scored hat-tricks after Jason Land had opened the scoring.

Sutton Coldfield Town secured a 2-1 win at Stourport Swifts with Aaron Farell firing in a second-half brace for the Royals after Scott Morris put Swifts in front.

Bromsgrove Rovers clinched a 1-0 win at Bedworth United with Damien Jarrett netting the goal.

Chasetown lost 2-1 at Atherstone. Roy Dunkley and Ashley Woolaston on target for the Adders before Danny Smith struck a late consolation.
