Richard Evans joins dad at Romulus

RICHARD Evans has followed his father to Romulus but only after his dad let joint-manager Keith Brown hammer out the deal.

Evans junior had been a promising youngster at Cheltenham Town before a cruciate knee ligament injury halted his career.

The 20-year full-back made his comeback last season with spells at Highgate United and Studley and then Redditch United but now he has signed for British Gas Business Midlands side Roms.

“A father-son relationship in football can be difficult so Keith Brown sorted everything out,” said Richard senior. “Richard is a good player and the most important thing is that it’s a good signing for Romulus.

“It’s a chance to get some games under his belt.”

Evans is the second addition to the squad following Lei Brown’s return from Chasetown.
