MATTHEW Barnes-Homer bagged his third goal of the season to defeat Torquay United and extend Kidderminster’s unbeaten run to four games.
The striker’s 44th minute goal was enough to settle the televised contest.
Though Torquay settled quickly, Harriers grew stronger as the first half progressed.
A header from Justin Richards was kept out by Michael Poke, who then denied Barnes-Homer, but the keeper was beaten just before half-time.
Martin Brittain latched onto a pass from Russ Penn and skipped past Lee Mansell down the right.
The winger then provided a teasing cross into the box and Barnes-Homer ghosted in between two defenders to divert the ball into the bottom corner.
Richards almost added a second, only to fire across goal, before Torquay threatened in the second period but defenders Mark Creighton and Keith Lowe cleared the Gulls’ most dangerous moments.
Harriers now head to Grays Athletic on Sunday.
