Lambs to spring a surprise

TAMWORTH will relish the chance to measure their improving form against one of the perennial play-off contenders tomorrow in the Blue Square North match of the day.

The Lambs’ five-game unbeaten run has propelled them into fifth place in the Blue Square North, four points behind second-place Harrogate Town.

Manager Gary Mills will again be able to choose from an unchanged squad.

Assistant manager Darron Gee said: “Neil Aspin has got a strong squad and Harrogate have been in the top four or top five over the last few years.

“We are at home on the back of a couple of fantastic performances and we’ve got the chance to show what we’re about.”

Redditch United will have an early start as they head to Workington tomorrow, with their coach leaving the Valley Stadium at 8am.

Redditch, looking to extend their unbeaten sequence to four games, will await fitness checks on Richard Softley and Howard Forinton.

Jake Sedgemore has handed injury-hit Solihull Moors a much-needed boost, despite learning he will need surgery for a detached stomach muscle injury.

The Moors had nine players missing in the midweek drubbing at Stalybridge Celtic but defender Lee Collins has a chance of returning for tomorrow’s home fixture against Droylsden.
