Gary Whild tells Redditch players told to stick to the plan

REDDITCH United players were told to stick with their script this week after letting slip at Gainsborough Trinity.

Manager Gary Whild maintained: “For the first 45 minutes, we played as well as I’ve seen us.

“We hit the post twice, missed five or six chances and I knew it would come back to hurt us.

“What annoyed me the most was the point where we went 2-0 down.

“One or two of the players decided they would start doing their own thing and didn’t stick to the game-plan.

“They think that if the situation changes, you start doing something different, when you don’t have to.

“In truth, we should have been out of sight by half time”.
