Youngsters win praise at Alvechurch

ALVECHURCH chairman Peter Eacock admitted he was surprised how well the rookie managerial partnership of Jamie McWilliams and Simon Redhead have done.

The Church saw their ranks decimated when Shaun Cunnington left to take charge of Willenhall Town this summer with seven players following him, while Lee Chilton joined Hinckley United.

Eacock insisted: “The boys have surprised everyone. The youth team players have really responded.’’
