Brown in swoop for Reds duo
BROMSGROVE Rovers boss Rod Brown has swooped to land released Redditch United pair Chris Hanna and Graham Deakin.
At the same time Brown has parted company with one-time wolves prodigy Chris Cornes.
Brown confirmed: “Chris has got talent, there’s no doubt about that but he’s not played for me since I’ve come back to Bromsgrove and it’s simply a case that I have to balance the books.
“Graham Deakin is a very good player in the middle of the park, although he didn’t do himself any favours by getting a six-match ban.”
Chris Hanna has been a first-year professional at Walsall. It looked as though Hanna was going to join Blue Square Premier side Kettering in the summer, but instead switched to Redditch.
Bromsgrove have enjoyed back-to-back wins since Brown’s return.
