WAKE Green went top of the Premier after beating previous leaders Handsworth GSOB in a 5-3 thriller.
It means Wakes head the table on goal difference from Handsworth and last season’s runners-up Sutton United, who are third after their 3-2 win at Aston Labs.
Silhill continued their improved form with a 2-0 win over Cresconians, while Somers climb off bottom spot after claiming their first points of the season with a 5-3 victory over newcomers Erin Go Bragh.
St Francis stay top of Division One after clinching a 1-0 win over Sutton United’s second string.
Aston remain in second spot after a 4-1 win at Walsall Phoenix.
Village took time off from their Premier Division programme to progress in the HS Smith Shield with a 2-1 success at Shirley Athletic.
