BGB Premier - Mark Hands operation is worth the cash for Evesham

EVESHAM United manager Paul West is hoping to utilise some of their FA Cup prize money to pay for a hernia operation for key midfielder Mark Hands.
Hands, who helped the Robins reach the Cup first round for the first time in their history, has been struggling with a groin problem and doctors have now confirmed he is suffering from Gilmore’s Groin.
“Mark needs an operation and the sooner he has it the sooner he can get back playing,” said West. “We’ve got to try to find the money but he is certainly worth it. He has been outstanding for us.”
Hands, who missed the midweek win at Stourbridge, can continue to play and he will be involved in tomorrow’s British Gas Business Premier Division fixture at Rugby Town.
Halesowen Town striker Justin Rowe has been told to rest to try to ease his knee problems.
The summer signing from Sutton Coldfield Town has been diagnosed with tendinitis in his knee and doctors have advised him to stop playing for a minimum of two to three weeks.
Yeltz manager Morell Maison has already identified the need to bolster his attacking options and he hopes to complete moves to bring in a striker and midfielder ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Hitchin Town.
Skipper Chris Nurse returns to Yeltz action after his stint playing for Guyana in the Digicel Caribbean Championship.
