PAUL Holleran reckons Rushall Olympic will know by the end of the month whether they are serious promotion contenders.

Having defeated fellow UniBond Division One South high-fliers Stocksbridge PS and Glapwell, the second-placed Pics tackle Shepshed Dynamo today and then face another top-four side, Retford United. Manager Paul Holleran said: “I felt November would sort us out because we had to play the top five or six.”

Holleran said the arrivals of striker Jermaine Clarke, on loan from Bromsgrove, and ex-Bromsgrove and Halesowen defender Gary Knight had made a positive impression.
