Adie Smith to make comeback against Bedworth United
Apr 24 2009 by Colin Stoner, Birmingham Mail
ADIE Smith will make his first senior appearance in six months as Chasetown begin the countdown to their play-offs semi-final in the British Gas Business Midlands League
Smith will play in tomorrow’s home game against Bedworth United in his comeback game following a torn Achilles tendon.
The former Kidderminster, Tamworth and Bromsgrove defender, who has come through three reserve games, will slot in to get match practice ahead of Tuesday’s play-off at Atherstone Town. Scholars manager Charlie Blakemore says he will not risk any players carrying knocks against Bedworth so skipper Richard Teesdale, who has a calf strain, will sit out the match.
