ROMULUS boss Richard Evans rang the changes for this week’s Red Insure Cup clash with Nuneaton Town and then watched his side get trounced 3-0.

Prolific striker Gez Murphy helped himself to a couple of goals with Simon Hollis also on target.

Roms had drafted in experienced Dave Barnett along with Robbie Banks, Dave Timmins and Jordan Nadat.

“We gave quite a few people an opportunity – but none of them took it,’’ Evans said. “We were poor, the first time we’ve been so bad for a while.

“I think it’s a case of going back to basics again. I’ve got a good squad, so it isn’t a case of bringing anyone in from outside.’’

Evans is likely to restore Nick Heath, Richard Munday, Ashley Jackson and his son Richard to the side for today’s trip to Beaconsfield.
