TAMWORTH striker Nick Wright faces a race against time to be fit for today’s clash with Hayes and Yeading.
Wright lasted only four minutes of the Lambs’ FA Cup clash with Ilkeston Town last week before suffering an ankle injury.
Wright’s early exit virtually signalled Tamworth’s fate as they lost 2-0 with manager Gary Mills admitting: “I was already down to the bare bones before Nick went off. We’re out of the FA Cup but it isn’t a disaster.
“We’re also entering a crucial period in the league. We’re halfway in the Conference Premier and we’ll go either one way or the other.
“We’ve got to get some belief back into the side after six straight defeats.”
