Sutton Coldfield boss Chris Keogh bemoans defensive frailty

SUTTON Coldfield Town boss Chris Keogh has threatened to make changes after watching his side leak unnecessary goals again this week.

The Royals had to settle for a 3-3 draw at Biggleswade leaving an annoyed Keogh to say: “It was another game we should have won. If you score three goals away from home you should be winning the game.

“We look a real threat going forward but we’re also a threat at the back because we can’t shut sides out. We’ve got enough quality but we keep shooting ourselves in the foot.”

Keogh also took a swipe at Southern League officials this week.

Following successive midweek trips to Marlow Town and Biggleswade, the Royals head to Hitchin Town on Tuesday.

Keogh said: “Some Midland Division this is turning out to be. I can’t understand why we can’t play these games on Saturday. There’s enough of them in the season!”
