Highgate United manager Marcus McDonald wants more goals and less mistales

HIGHGATE United manager Marcus McDonald admitted feeling sorry for his players following their 4-0 defeat at Coventry Sphinx this week.
McDonald maintained: “We played the best football I’ve seen from us since taking charge. We hit the crossbar and missed a penalty but couldn’t finish.
“We conceded a goal that was blatantly offside before half-time then Sphinx scored three from set-pieces after the break.
“I had a bit of a go at the lads because we keep making the same mistakes. Some of them have to start being more professional.”
Busy McDonald is tracking Walsall Wood’s Nick Harris, while Simon Volante has switched to Alvechurch. McDonald is also hopeful of having goalkeeper Perry Cox back after work commitments.
