Injury-time goals have cost us play-offs place, says Rushall Olympic boss Neil Kitching

NEIL Kitching admits Rushall Olympic will be haunted by a feeling of ‘what if’ when they reflect on 2010.
The Pics manager felt his side proved they can match the best in the UniBond One South after their performance against champions-elect Mickleover Sports last week, only to come away empty-handed after conceding in injury-time to lose 3-2.
Kitching has witnessed the Pics lose games in stoppage time on six occasions this term and that, he points out, could be the difference between reaching the play-offs or not.
“Any neutral watching the game would have thought we were the championship-chasing side at Mickleover,” said Kitching.
“We dominated from start to finish but we gave away soft goals.
“The number of goals we have conceded in injury-time has probably been the difference between us getting into the play-offs or not. Six times, we’ve lost games in injury time and that’s so frustrating.”
Kyle Brady (hip injury) could return today for the match at Loughborough Dynamo.
