Stud Marks: Non league boss's selection plans hit by a player grounded by Mum!

DALE Belford has had to field the youngest-ever side in Atherstone Town’s history as the club balances its books.

But there are unexpected problems pushing the Sheepy Road kids into the first team as he found out in midweek before their fixture at Rothwell Town.

“I was going to include another of the youth team players but then I found out he had been grounded by his mum and dad and they wouldn’t let him play!” said Belford.

The Adders were still able to include Tom Millard, who was only able to sign Zamaretto League forms because he had celebrated his 16th birthday a week before the transfer deadline.
