Kiddminster Harriers full-back rejects new deal
LEE Baker’s two-season career at Kidderminster Harriers will come to an end after the full-back rejected a new contract.
The 21-year-old left-back, who joined Harriers in 2008 after being released by Albion, had been offered a new deal but he has been linked to Luton Town and Newport County.
Harriers boss Steve Burr said: “Lee has told me he has been made an offer that he just can’t turn down.
“Obviously we are very disappointed with the news. He was a player I really wanted to keep but ultimately we have lost out.
‘‘At least Lee had the decency to phone and tell me.”
Harriers, though, will be entitled to some compensation because the full-back is under 24.
n Tamworth have bid farewell to top scorer Iyseden Christie after he joined Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Kettering Town.
The former Kidderminster and Mansfield striker returns to Rockingham Road after he had a spell there on loan from Stevenage Borough in 2008-09.
Christie said: “It was nice playing close to home with Tamworth last season but when Kettering showed an interest in me I knew it was the right move for me.”
