Tamworth look to end Histon hoodoo

TERRIFIC Tamworth have swept away some of the biggest names in non-league’s top tier in the last three weeks – but they will need to treat Histon as an even greater test.
Histon have proved a bogey side, with the Cambridgeshire outfit completing the double over the Lambs last term.
While Tamworth, having climbed into fourth place in the Blue Square Bet Premier, will carry the tag of ‘favourites’ after wins against Luton, Mansfield and Grimsby, boss Gary Mills has stressed the importance of maintaining a winning run.
“It’s another tough game and as the boss keeps saying, it’s easy to win the odd game but the good sides put a run together,” said assistant boss Darron Gee.
Tamworth welcome back England’s Alex Rodman and Wales’ Scott Barrow after their international rivalries midweek, but the only fitness worry is Dan Bradley.
n KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have been given a treble fitness boost as they bid to chalk up a hat-trick of wins when Cambridge United visit Aggborough.
Harriers feared the worst when defender Michael Briscoe and midfielder Jack Byrne were carried off in last weekend’s win against Hayes & Yeading.
But manager Steve Burr hopes the pair will both be fit for the visit of the Us, as well as having Tom Sharpe available.
